Chrome has an official NON-beta version: Chrome 2.
Their NEXT brower (Chrome 3) is what's in beta. Just like FF 3.5 have been in beta. -
-
Thanks for the heads-up, but since I rarely use Chrome anymore, I don't feel like trying out the beta.

runs awesome here they really seem to be making some great strides recently

Okay I Just downloaded Google Chrome. How can I get a menu like in Firefox with the drop down arrow button besides the web address space bar?
The only things I wish for are
1) A dedicated SEPARATE search bar like in other browsers such as Firefox. I don't really like the whole combined address and search bar that they've got going now.
2) PDFs do NOT WORK in Google Chrome. I would very much like to be able to view a simple PDF file within the browser. I've got Adobe Reader downloaded and installed on my computer. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.
Last but not least I'd like a down arrow button in the address bar just like Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. If Google can make these things happen I'll be a very happy camper. -
Why are the mods deleting every thread I either post I or start? Why can I not find this thread so I know if someone replies?

2. Not true at all. I use Foxit PDF Reader and it handles pdf's in Chrome (developers version) fine. -
The part is very true. I'm not making it up. You can google it or search for it wherever you want to but there are many threads dedicated to the issue as I found out earlier today.
And there's no real solution. Some folks suggest going down to Adobe Reader 9.1 or even 8. whatever.
Luckily though I ran across a thread in which one person said that if you resize the window the pdf file appears as normal. Weird but it works.
Lastly I see that you didn't address my biggest concern. The down arrow that is in the address bar of Firefox and IE. Is there a way to get in Google Chrome or not? -

Most that is just them throwing out ideas and speculation as to what they are considering for Firefox 4.
The main thing for me the downward arrow on the right side of the address bar. -
I use Adobe Reader with Chrome and it works just fine.
I can post a screen if you want proof... -
You just have the resize the screen apparently and it works. Besides that's not even my main concern.
My main concern as I've said multiple times is to get a drop down arrow in the address bar...that's all I want.
