    Google Chrome, deleting duplicate bookmarks?

    Is there a way to do this with chrome? or would the easiest way be, just export the bookmarks to a html file, then import them into firefox and use this addon delete the duplicate, export from ff and then import back into chrome?

    . Open Bookmarks Bar.

    . Click the Other Bookmarks button.

    . Right-click on the desired site from the list of bookmarks and select Edit or Delete from the context menu.

    Yer but I have friggin loads of bookmarks, and doing them one by one would take yonks.

    I'll do it with ff me thinks.


    EDIT: Done, PITA tbh but hopefully when I reinstall chrome from now on, i'll make sure to uncheck the import bookmarks option.

    I would just delete all bookmarks, then re-sync them from FF with no duplicates.

    Yer but I use chrome as my main browser, so I have more bookmarks than I do with ff, and its all done now. :p

    I have bookmarks saved in firefox & chrome...initially had imported them from ff to chrome, now all messed up. In total over 11000+ bookmarks and almost 4000 duplicates. Bookmark Duplicate Detector has you go thru it one by one..wish there was a better alternative..any suggestions please...

    Sounds like you need to install Xmarks in Chrome and FF to keep bookmarks synced. That way both browsers will have the same set of bookmarks no matter what.
