I need a word processor and spreadsheet.

Should I even bother to download OO or will Google Docs be good enough?

I don't need to use it offline.

Is Google Docs available offline? I thought they removed support for it.

If you ever plan on doing any word processing or spreadsheets off-line, I would recommend downloading OO. Otherwise, Google Docs should be good.

I believe they removed the offline capabilities of Google Docs. I would recommend installing O o_O. Possibly even Go-oo.org, which can be a little nicer than the normal O o_O package.

I would recommend Google Docs if you always had access to it.

I should have put in my original post that I do not need to use the wp or spreadsheet offline.

I would say, try google docs but temper your expectations. If you find that you need to use something a bit more powerful, try OpenOffice. :)

Thanks for Go-OpenOffice (GO-O o_Org) Pitabred, faster than standard OpenOffice. +Rep.
