Just done a new install of windows 7, this was working fine under xp and I believe its the same chrome version.
When I type something and press the home or end key, the blinking cursor/pointer thing doesn't move, instead when pressing the home key nothing happens, and when pressing the end key I end up scrolling down the page.
This only appears to happen in chrome, I've looked through the settings but couldn't see anything.
Anyone have any ideas?![]()

Hi Carrot Muncher,
I've had the same issue - I suspected it was down to a Chrome plugin and after much trial and error I found it was the SmoothScroll plugin. If you have it, disable it and all should be well.

Also... following advice on the Smoothscroll support page, I've re-enabled the plugin but turned off "Keyboard Support" in Smoothscroll settings. That seems to be a good workaround.
More info here: Home & End buttons don't work correctly - Google Chrome Help.

John, thank you so much!!
Disabling the the keyboard support as you said works just fine. Was driving me mad.
Google chrome, cursor/insertion pointer not moving when I press home/end key
