I was using task scheduler on my computer and noticed that there are five separate google update tasks, most scheduled to run every 20 minutes (each with slightly different settings). I looked in services and saw 2 google update services, set on automatic

    Is this normal? Sensible?

Nomal. Yes. Sensible. No. In my opinion there should be NO update tasks run as services except the one for the OS itself. All others should run when the app runs. It should check for updates then and only then.
