I've gotten into a little problem with my laptop. I was trying to remove the WinToolsA.exe spyware thingy, and had basically done it, but I used msconfig to add /SAFEMODE to my boot so XP Pro boots in safe mode, so now it boots into safe mode only, as I forgot to remove it when restarting after fixing the spyware problem. The issue is Safe Mode for some reason is not accepting my passwords for either administrator or my normal account. I have a linux-based program on CD that I've used in the past to change XP passwords that have been lost, but for some reason it's not working in this situation... I change the passwords and then they don't work, when I check again they're back the way they were, so I can't get into Windows. I've tried many of the F8 options and nothing seems to get my passwords to work or to get it our of safe mode, I'm completely lost... ANY HELP I would appreciate for a lifetime, argh. Thanks in advance.

Let me add that I left all of my CDs from Windows and so on at school (I'm on break, a week left, but I definitely need my computer back earlier than a week), so I can't get the recovery console or do a repair install or anything like that... argh. Thanks again.

Got the pops to bring home an extra XP CD, Recovery Console did the trick. Woo, that was a crazy pain.
