You know, back in highschool I could probably do anything in Excel but lack of practice got me stupid...
So what I want to do is a chart (graph) out of 2 collumns. Basically a y=f(x) ...
    so I`ve got say...
    1st collumn--------------2nd collumn
    4--------------------------1.4
    5--------------------------4
    6--------------------------55
    7--------------------------3
And I want a chart in which on the X line are the first # and on the Y line there are the # from the 2nd collumn...

Oh, and I DID try the excel chart function, but what it does is place just the evolution of the last row selected,on the x line being the # of point that the row has on the y line...

    Follow these steps:
Select your column 1 and 2 by dragging a box around them in Excel.
Click on the graph button on the toolbar or go to Insert>Chart.
Click on LINE in the left box and select a line graph style you want. You can also get a smoothed graph by going to Custom Types.
    Click next.
I assume you want your 1st column on the X axis and the 2nd column on the Y axis:
Click on the SERIES tab at the top of the window.
Click on SERIES 2 followed by the REMOVE button.
Click on SERIES 1 and click on the arrow next to the VALUES box.
Select your values for column 2 by dragging a box around them.
Click on the arrow to restore the window.
Click on the arrow next to CATEGORY X AXIS.
Select your values for column 1 by dragging a box around them.
Click on the arrow to restore the window.
Keep clicking on NEXT until you get your graph.

I currently only have a Mac at hand, but it won't be too much different on the PC. It's the button with a red circle around it:

In Windows, it should look like this:

Ok,so I`ve just realised that the charts aren`t ok. The X values are not in ascending order as they should be, but as they are in the collumn.
Now , if I try to sort the # in the collumns , they won`t, since those are values given by a formula ( example : collumn B1=3*A1, B2=3*A2...and so on).
If I try to copy them, it doesn`t work. Is there any way to get JUST the values, and sort them so I can use them properly?

There are multiple ways to fix this. The easiest would be to simply copy all your data, click on a cell in an empty space on your spreadsheet or open a new workbook, go to Edit>Paste Special and click on the VALUES radio button, then OK.

Afterwards, simply sort your newly pasted data, and create a graph from that.

Ok I`ma try that. Stay tuned :)

Well, tried that, found another flaw in my logic. Ordered the X values but the Y values no longer correspond.
So how do I do a line chart with ascending X values and corresponding Y values?
Sorry to be such a pain, but I got a major project due on Monday...

After pasting your data, select ALL the data you have just pasted, go to DATA>SORT, select the column you wish to sort from the SORT BY box, and then click on OK. All your data should then be sorted in the order of the column you specified, with all values in the other columns still corresponding correctly.
