I just got my tx25000z, uninstalled most of the crapware, but I'm still not sure what other programs i should delete. Anyone know what other crap I should take off this thing? most specifically programs from HP. I turned off microsoft aero, is there anything else I can do to make this puppy speed up? Is there anyway I can make the computer default to powersaving mode when I unplug the charger?

Disable indexing, disable unwanted services and startup programs etc etc....check out the vista sticky....

What you can do is, create a new power plan..!! Then goto the Advanced Power Settings, and assign the On-Battery settings to the devices similar to the On-Battery settings in the Power Saver Mode/Balanced Mode, and apply the When-Plugged In settings similar to the When-Plugged In settings in the High Performance mode..!!

So, when you plug in, the notebook will be in a power plan similar to the High Performance plan, and when on battery, it will be in a power plan similar to the Power Saver Mode/Balanced Mode..!!

I'd consider performing a reinstall of the O/S. Bloatware may still be lurking in hard to find places.
