The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I noticed a lot of I need a Free whatever threads.

A great place to look for Free software is Snapfiles.com. and just click on the Freeware button on the top right. You can also do a search and just check the Freeware only box.

I highly recommend them because they are very good at keeping all the crappy and full of adware programs out (unlike CNET). Also the User reviews are pretty reliable. And 95% of the programs listed under Freeware is actually fully Free. (Unlike CNET and other Free software sites)

Just wanted to give some of you a heads up.
