hands down best media player, especially if you know how to customize it.

Songbird .6 was released already, i don't like it much though. Mainly for the fact that i couldn't get flash to work in it properly, or else i would have loved it.

MediaMonkey is my favorite so far. I found Foobar too confusing to customize, but it seems like you can do almost anything with it.

Do you know anything about the allegations that Media Monkey logs a person's keystrokes? I read something about that online, but I didn't pay much attention to it since I don't have Media Monkey.

iTunes has the sharing feature, which is pretty nifty. Very easy to use, as well. It does seem pretty slow at times though, especially if you use Cover Flow.

What are the disadvantages to just using WMP? I've not yet installed any other music or video player since running Vista. I have been quite impressed with WMP so far. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

No, I'd have to agree w/ you there myself. WMP is by far superior to iTunes, imho....

I've tried foobar and I want to switch, but it lacks some features I'm fond of in itunes. First, the interface doesn't seem to be completely customizable to display what I want: simple play list + tabs + properties. Next, I couldn't find a button anywhere that when you pressed it, took you directly to where the song was in your play list. Finally, I'd have to fix some of my songs which is a pain when it lacks the other two features. However, I could easily be mistaken and these features might be in foobar. If they are, I wouldn't mind switching.

I haven't read that anywhere. It sounds pretty sensational though. What would be the point?

    Did you see this thread?

    Hi Ken Wind,

I did see that thread and it prompted me to do a Google search. I saw some other information that seemed to go along with the thread. That's why I was wondering if anyone had more information regarding the stories.
