I found this cool piece of software that will basically turn your laptop into a PDA! its pretty sweet and best of all its FREE!! I think this is a must have for any college student that will have a lot on their plate and need something to remind them of important events.
Features:

- Every feature you need to organize your life: scheduling, contact info, To-Do lists and versatile notes
- Easy import from MS Outlook or Outlook Express
- Simple printout of any or all modules and quick export of your data into the most useful formats
- Strong data protection using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm
- Multilingual interfaces
-
I'm having trouble seeing the benefit over Outlook, other than the free part, bu students get Office for almost nothing anyway.

Very cool. I use Microsoft's OneNote, but I think I'll give this a try anyway. One Note is good, but you never know if theres anything better. Two other must have programs include QueCard (a great study aid) and Post-it® Software Notes. I like the QueCard program the best of the two, its a very simple no frills program that mimics double-sided index cards so you can have a flash-card study aid on your PC. It helped me pass biology without having to buy and write on index cards -- my writing always seem to look like death threats from the Unibomer, I don't even open packages sent to myself; I keep thinking it's going to be anthrax.
Here's the download.com link to QueCard 1.5: http://www.download.com/CueCard/3000-2051_4-10380167.html?tag=lst-0-1 -
Just curious, I installed EverNote and I noticed in the options you can choose the paper color and line color. But how do you get your notes to actually look like paper? That's the number one thing I love about OneNote. It feels like a real notepad and for some reason it helps to get me in the mood to type.

when you start a new note, you can select what type of note you want. the paper appearance is for "ink note"
Great free software for those who need to get organized!
