    Where can I find a newer FW? What is the safest way of flashing it?

    Chances are you won't find a new firmware. Firmware updates are generally only issued for hard drives when they have a problem, either performance or reliability related. Flashing the drive is kinda risky anyways and a lot of firmware updates wipe the drive when they're applied.
