The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HDD enabled or not?

    Under my device manager i can see a tab on my harddrive properties called NC caching. This i know is related to Hybrid Harddisk. But what im concerned about is if it is enabled on my system? Under the tab it says that "The use of the disk as Hybrid Harddisk can be turned on or off by group policy administrators" ???? Where is this? And can i see if vista is using it somewhere???
