    HDD space going up and down 20 gb?????????

    I know system restor on vista takes up about 15% of HDD space... which it did already on my HDD but last month my HDD suddenly just dropped down 20 gb an yerterday it jump back up 20 gb..what is happening to this space?

    20 gb is alot to be going up and down on my notebook with vista basic

    Vista will clean out old restore points which will cause that space to free up. Then when it makes new ones it will use it again. 20GB does seem like a lot though. You might want to see my guide on "where's my disk space going". It also might be a good idea to get "WinDirStat" and scan your drive. Then you'll be able to see where the space is being used.
