Is there any software which will show me what program is using(writing/reading) HDD. Occasionally something starts using HDD which slows down my comp for a few minutes. And thats done a few times a day. I don't have any auto-defragmenters installed.

Sysinternals' suite of disk and file utilities have a number of apps that will accomplish your goal; in particular Process Monitor. These utilities (and the other Sysinternals utilities) are free from Microsoft and were all written by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell, among others; Mark Russinovich is one of the authors of Windows Internals - soon to be in its fifth edition - that is one of the best overall handbooks on what goes on under the hood of the WinOSes.
