The Benchmark test seems to be the one thats inaccurate and the cache speed test for me gives the same capped speeds. If i understand the cache test that should be very high and not that low.
I found this while testing my new external. It shows my hardrive being "capped" i installed the newest drivers for the hardrive and used crystal mark and sisoft sandra benchmarks and those show the same and accurate results. I also noticed the test(HDtune) capping on a recent notebookcheck.net review. I assume that this is not a local issue now. Wanted to through this out there so you guys get a chance to take a look at it.
Look at the hitachi hardrive tests. it shows a "capped" speed but crystal mark shows otherwise.
You can see the same flat "capped" speed on this test from a totally different laptop. The "cap" on this test is at a lower speed. You can tell that the curve should be going at about 90-100MBps at the beginning but its stuck at 70MBps....obviously a hardrive has a slow downward slopping curve and not a strieght line ^^
Review Toshiba Qosmio X500 Notebook (GeForce GTX 460M) - Notebookcheck.net Reviews
Screen shots of HDTune pro and Crystal mark and sisoft Sandra ( Compare the 3 test from sisoft HDTune and Crstal mark/Also check and look at the cache. Its "capped" at the same speed. Also see that the file benchmark test for HDTune Pro shows that its about the 130MBps that about the same for sisoft and Crystal mark.

This is a work in progress but feel free to post any input. More input you can give me the more i can add thx
Side note....if you already know this let me know. Because i see all sorts of places using this program for benchmarks. Sad thing i i really like HDTune pro with all the through tests. Also note that the file benchmark tests appear to be accurate...at least if i am reading them right ^^
HDTune and HDTune pro are inaccurate!
