Any more info other than that? Like Blue screen or anything?

It will usually shutdown on its own if the processor is getting to hot or hardware problems.

First you gotta make your getting power.

Re-seating the ram might be a good precaution too

Well I was running tunexp, then it died(i really mean wihtout BSOD and other warnings). I did not let it overheat and i was not doing anything that puts much heat on CPU, GPU and Hard Drive.

So I will have to check my RAM??

Yes Vista, I always use tunexp just for the boost in startup time. i don't use other things in xp.

It says so in the thread for tweaking. I already used it quite a lot of time.

I was also checking software on how to undervolt but i mage no alterations yet.

You might have fried something in the motherboard or something has gone loose but i cant be too sure. Just a gut feeling.

Call up tech support and see what they come up with.

Unplug the battery and AC then try holding the power button for 30seconds

Always run on AC power from here on.

You might have a corrupted driver that prevents display. I would suggest you try to connect to an external monitor to see if anything shows.

    So its solved?

The battery is a common issue, cant remember why it does it. It happens to HP laptops too. Usually just need to top the battery out and back in

FYI TuneXP was removed from the tweaking guide a month or two ago. It has since been replaced by a batch file that does the same thing TuneXP does, but instead uses Vista's defrag to do it. TuneXP simply wasn't safe enough to use in Vista. It caused too many problems.

Just to clarify, the tweaking thread has NOT said so for quite a while. TuneXP has been removed from the tweaking thread because the app is NOT designed for Vista users and is know to have issues with Vista. The boot defrag procees it was used for in the tweaking thread has been replaced with a method that is perfectly safe under Vista. (See my signature for a link to the message about the replacement method.)

I don't know that the issues with TuneXP are related to your current dilema, though.

When you say you pressed power button for 30 seconds, did you mean holding it down? Try not to hold down the power button, just give it 1 press with the battery off and AC plugged in and see how it goes.

NO, you unplug both battery and AC power first then hold the power button for 30 seconds

then ONLY plug back in the AC power

On HP laptops if you take out the battery, disconnect the power plug and hold the power button for 30secs it resets whatever it's suppose to reset. Sometimes it works. Can you at least boot in Safe Mode? Could be the video driver is corrupted. When my Compaq screen died, but the lights were on and the HD was working, I called HP and sent it for repair. Apparently the motherboard keeled over. Gave me a new laptop to boot with more features. My recommendation is to call Acer and have them fix it within the warranty.
