This is the strangest thing ever happened to me and this is somewhat silly to!
I own Sager NP5793 with 64bit Vista, and somewhat unplug my adapter. When I tried to boot again, the Wireless only shows as "Limited Connection" or "Local Only"

WTH?! 1 minute ago I can connect without any problem, now suddenly cannot connect? Anyone has solution on this? Thanks! (I try to System Restore to previous version but to no avail :()

Please help me ASAP! Thanks a lot.

Did either of you try to 'repair' the connection? Sometimes Vista thinks it is connected, but is not. XP occasionally does it too, and I'm pretty sure its caused by DHCP.

Vista sometimes needs a restart and then its all fine. It will connect quickly and hold that connection.

I've tried to repair it and restarted multiple times. I even reinstalled the Intel drivers. I remember it telling me one of the network adapters isn't working or something? It also gave me a option to restart the network. I don't remember exactly what the "diagonois" was, but I'm not sure whether it was the routers fault I tried 4 different networks and couldn't connect. I just setup my own router though, and it's working fine so far.

Bring your question to the wireless thread, there you will find the experts, or people who think they are, but certainly for the most part they are people willing to help. :D

Anyway, Vista do need a restart :( After I let it shut down for like 10-15 minutes, and then try to boot it up again, it works! I don't know what's wrong with the system, certainly doesn't have any problem with my router as past few minutes ago I still can connect without any problem.

The Diagnosis is a joke.. It doesn't solve no matter what problem you're facing like this.

The Repair connection does on/off the wireless radio but couldn't find the connection to the Internet gate, it just simply stop resulting Local Connection :<

When I had issues like that, I turned down the wireless adapter for about 2 mins, powered back on and reconnected.Always works.
