Hi, I was just browsing through My Computer today and on the left side pane where it says Liberies, Homegroup, Network.. Underneth network it's got the name of my computer. I click on that and it has my printer and a folder saying "users", I click on that and it links me to my personal folder where all my pictures, video's music and other documents is.

Does this mean that people can connect to my laptop and and look at my files? if so how do I stop? what is it? and what does it do?

I've only just noticed it today.

    Thanks.

The pictures,videos,music... folders in the library is shared by default on ur network,so if someone shares the network with you they can see those files

if you want to disable the sharing in general go to :

Control Panel >> Network and sharing center >> On the left panel there's "Change advanced sharing settings >> U'll find Public folder sharing ,Turn it off, also u mite want to turn off "File and printer sharing"
