I've done dual booting XP and Vista before but for some strange reasons, I can't do it anymore so please give me some info. I used Gparted Livecd 0.3.4-8 (latest version) and I successfully created a second partition(70GB out of 120GB total) but when I put the Vista disk and tried to install vista, there is no where I can find the second partition anymore. In stead all I see is the one partition. I should have a first partition of 50GB with XP and the second partition(Unallocated) of 70GB for Vista. But now I see only the main partition of 40GB with XP. I have no idea why I can't create the second partition, I used an old version of Gparted, in case, but no hope. Does this mean that I am unable to dual boot on my Core-2-duo laptop? Or this doesn't matter? The last time I tried was on my other Core-duo machine and there was no problem at all. I am afraid that Core2duo does not recognize the second partition. Please tell me if anyone knows how to fix my problem.
    Thanks

    P.S.
My Vista is not an upgrade, it is the genuine full version.
