I'm trying to extend my D: drive to use the unallocated space, however I'm running into a problem: the Extend Volume... is greyed out! What do I do?![]()

EDIT: Sorry Disk manager was being retarded.
I followed this guide and it worked out, had to manually do it through diskpart...

You could also do this with GParted Live.. It's nice, easy to do... Cheers..

Ultimate Boot Disk
Has like 15 programs for hard disk management including said G-Parted. Its pretty safe to work with partitions in windows but going outside windows with a live disk or a dos based program is still safer and gives more options like being able to move partitions. -
It doesn't make sense that you partition one physical drive as back up. Do you know if your hard drive is gone, you data in backup partition will be gone too?
