Hi I have a Dell Inspiron N5030, Windows 7 os, I can log onto my user account but can not access anything I click on, we have two user accounts with passwords and one guest account, neither one of the user accounts after logging in will let us into anything else. This is where things seem strange, we can go onto the guest account and use it as it's always been used, internet, games, downloads, programs etc.....but the actual user accounts after logging in will not allow us to click on anything. Any Suggestions? Thank you, KKimbler

if both accounts are doing the same thing ie nothing then as James D said it could well be a virus or mallware/spyware thats changed all your settings.

    what antivirus do you use

I'd recommend something more than just Spybot as it is just anti-malware/spyware and not an antivirus. Many people run Microsoft Security Essentials as the real time anti-virus program and have an additional program like Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro, or Spybot do periodic scheduled scans (non real time protection).

spybot is not an antivirus but an extral tool for mallware/spyware. > Spybot - Search & Destroy from Safer Networking click the home user and it tells you what it is used for. this software WILL NOT STOP viruses getting onto your computer.

you need to download a free version of either avast or mse and run a scan immediately. prefrebly twice. once in safe mode (F8 on bootup) and then once when youve logged onto one of the accounts.

avast avast! Free Antivirus | Download Antivirus Protection Software
    or
mse Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

also make sure your windows firewall is on.
