I bought a Toshiba notebook. It installed vista. but the c driver has 99G. I want to separate some space from c to d driver. step:

I use computer management ---disc management ---c: shrink volume ---size

of available shrink space in mb:44590 ---enter the amount of space to shrink

in mb:44490 ---shrink ---display:these is not enough space available on the disc to

complete this operation. Why? Thx! :(

He wants to partition his disk. As far as I can tell, he only has one partition (C:\), and wants another.

    Thats what I thought.
kingshuai, go to Computer then right click the C drive, hit properties. take a screenshot of that( press print screen then got to edit then paste in MS Paint).
Save it as JPEG, then post that here.

i would completly reformat it but thats just me... whenever i buy a computer from a company they would install so much garbage that a clean install actually speeds it up... you could also rearrange your partitions during the reinstall... but again thats just me...
