    HELP... if i insall win xp in different language can i use enlgish drivers?

    i HAVE to install windows xp pro brazilian portuguese version on my friends computer but i am not sure if the drivers have to be ALSO in brazilian portuguese?

    or it doesn't matter? can i get the drivers off the HP.COM USA site?

    i tried googling this but had no futher info... cuz i wasn't even sure how to type this question on google.

    I don't think you should have a problem. As long as it's Windows XP compatible, the drivers should still work, despite whatever language it's in.

    benx009, the drivers for sure will be for windows xp... i will be getting them off the HP.com because that is the kind of laptop she has, it is a compaq c700.

    but are you 100% sure this will work? just double checking... i don't want to screw up her new laptop.

    I'm not a 100% sure, but I'd nod my head to 99%. Whether or not that's good for you is for you to decide :). Just keep in mind that the drivers will still install in the English language.

    one last question... i understand that the drivers will still install in english... i just hope they are functional.
