    Yo,

OK, here are my notebook specifications:

HP Pavilion dv6500t (running Ubuntu 9.04, previously Windows Vista Home Premium)

    Purchase Date: 6/30/2007

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7300
    2GB DDR2 RAM (2 Dimm)
    128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG
    120GB 5400RPM SATA HD

Can my hardware run Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) without any hiccups? What are drivers and where do I find them? Is Windows XP still a viable alternative or should I buy the newest version of Windows?

I'm not as techie as I'd like to be so any help is greatly appreciated.

Your laptop will work fine with Windows 7, the only drivers you will need are

    Intel Chipset Drivers

    Intel Matrix Storage Driver

    nVIDIA ForceWare drivers

The other drivers including the quick touch buttons should be picked up automatically.

If you need help, let me know and Ill upload any driver for you.

you can find all the drivers here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=404164
