I just bought an HP dv6567cl notebook from Sam's Club - great deal and return policy. It has Vista which I Do NOT want. I own a home version of XP that I would dearly love to have on this new notebook.

I am hesitant to just start installing as I have read of horror stories. HP of course offers no assistance. Can anyone here do so ?

Many thx for sharing your expertise.

First, make sure drivers are available from HP. Then format away, and install XP.

Thx for your reply. What would you suggest is the best way to secure the proper drivers from HP ? The driver issue seems be the sticky wicket in this maneuver.
