    Hey,

I fought with the new laptop multiple hours and still couldn't beat it... Well it's the HP pavilion laptop with windows 8. Well after unable to update my ASUS when I bought it I thought maybe now it's other thing, so I hit the update button with HP and nothing happens after many hours. It's stucked with 0% and be like "YES YES MOM FIVE MORE MINUTES AND I'LL GO"...

Anyway I dropped windows 8 and hit the W7 cd inside, after few minutes BIOS clicking got finally the laptop boot the cdrom and I was hoping that's it I can go sleep, but no. It wasn't the case. Since I faced multiple odd things with windows 7, my friend you have betrayed me.

One thing I cannot understand how the fan can spin like heavy duty, while indling. Althought it goes lower speed but mainly just hittig those maximium spin rates all the time, the noise is bad.

Second thing was the heat. Here's around 50 on cpu and gpu while doing normal websurfing. That's just normal thought and didn't have time to check idle rates, but looking on those more tomorow.

Third thing was the cpu usage. Okay, usually when CPU is using < 50%, I have heavy applications on or doing normal stuff, but while idling the CPU jumped high low high low all the time and the fan just keeps loving that fast low fast low....

Some advice would have been nice to get before I get my hammer and finish that business. BIOS maybe? With windows 8 it worked "normally", but there was 'windows module installer worker' process eating cpu over 50%, which seemed odd since it wasn't doing anything. I installed mantle, because it looked that A10 7300m supports it like APU CPU does. What about GPU it has R6 M260, althought I didn't install the drivers. (Mantle has them/ it is?) (I know alot about computer but reality is different)

    Laptop is Pavilion 15-p174no

Since we have no idea what drivers you used no one can give a answer as to what is happening in your system? And also if your system has no Win7 O/S drivers for it getting Win7 work will be tricky thing to do. Also to begin to use Win7 on a Win8 machine if you don't disable UEFI then it will not work regardless what you do.
