I use Windows Vista Home Premium on my [fairly new] Dell VOSTRO 1710 business notebook. For the past few weeks, I have been getting the dreaded BSOD [blue screen of death] and reboot. Sometimes I am asked to select normal or SAFE mode and sometimes not.

I have read that there was a connection to some software called Hotspot something or other. I actually had the softwaare installed but uninstalled it.

All of my OS is up to date, I have run Diags and Memory checks. All OK. Anyone got any suggestions. Dell's only response... Do a restore or recovery image install. Not an option until I have exhasted about everything else
