This may be common knowledge outside of my little world, but I just discovered it and I'm absolutley tickled about it. I've been tinkering with Opera's settings and by chance noticed that the little pop-up windows from mousing-over links are gone when "Mouse Gestures" are disabled. Sweet!

It doesn't stop IntelliTXT type pop-ups. Fortunately, placing IntelliTXT in blocked content does work.

Firefox with Adblock Plus and the EasyElement+EasyList filter subscription gets rid of virtually all ads including those Intellitext ads.

Or you can apply a filter in Adblock Plus for intellitxt.com to get rid of those ads exclusively.

These aren't ads. It's those little popup bubbles that appear when the mouse goes over web page elements. It happens in this forum when viewing the forum pages. Every thread title has a little popup bubble that shows the text in the thread when moused over. Both IE and Opera do this by default. I don't know if Firefox will. They can sometimes be combersome because when there are so many it seems that most anywhere the mouse is rested a bubble pops up and covers the web page text.

Sounds like Opera has a bug then. They are supposed to be shown. :)
(And if they're annoying, the site should be redesigned. I quite like it here though)

And yeah, Firefox shows them too, although it has another bug where it cuts off if the text gets too long.

In HTML, they're made by adding 'title' attributes to a tag.

I like that the bug can be switched on and off. :D I haven't noticed any side effects yet. Mouse-over menus seem to still be working, which was one thing I became concerned I might also be loosing. Perhaps menus are written differently from title attributes?
