I just handed down my main PC to my son, Is there a way to delete my account, it will only take my password for my MSM account, whenever he changes that password I can't get my email. Is there any option short of a fresh install?

On a funny side note, I forgot that that PC had none of the parental controls turned on, I'll have to fix that today, lol.

    Here's one way: https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-delete-your-msn-email-address

(You can Google for other methods)

But you would have to have your son put your password back so that you can do it.

Then create a new account using a different password so that you can get your mail again. I don't know if you have to create a new/different email address but you can try to keep your old one and see if that works.

If you can also do a clean reboot with USB or DVD or image to wipe everything clean so he has to do his own customization.

I think I'm going to do this route, I just wan tto be sure I find a product key, I think it chanced from the original Windows 7 that I had upgraded from.

Then Windows 7 should have the sticker with the Product Key otherwise you will have to buy the Recovery Disk from the Manufacture not Microsoft and use that to clean boot the computer back. And if they want Windows 10 then he can do his own upgrade to Windows 10.

Change the password back to the desired one, then wipe the machine using the method below:

Use this tool to install a fresh copy of Windows 10 onto a USB device that can hold at least 4GB of data.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    1. Once the tool installs the OS files onto the USB device, keep the USB device plugged into your system and restart your computer.

    2. enter the boot menu as soon as the computer begins to boot.
(If your computer is a Sager, boot key is F7
if it is MSI, boot key is F11
if it is ASUS, boot key is ESC
if it is GIGABYTE, boot key is F12)

    3. Boot from your USB device

    4. Click install now and click through the various options.

    5. Once you get to the option to "upgrade" or "Custom", click on Custom.

    6. At the screen where it asks you to choose which drive to install Windows on, press Shift+F10 and a DOS window should open

    type the following: diskpart
    [hit ENTER key]
    type the following: list disk
    [hit ENTER]
type the following: sel disk 0 (disk 0 should be the drive your operating system is on, if not, please choose the respective disk number)
    [hit ENTER]
    type the following: clean
    [hit ENTER]

    close the DOS window

    7. Refresh your storage device list. Your drive should say "unallocated", select the unallocated drive and click next to reinstall Windows.
