    hi guys!!i just checked hd tune pro and i saw that i have this warning..

    I searched the SMART attribute, C5, that is in question:

    Count of "unstable" sectors (waiting to be remapped, because of read errors). If an unstable sector is subsequently read successfully, this value is decreased and the sector is not remapped. Read errors on a sector will not remap the sector (since it might be readable later); instead, the drive firmware remembers that the sector needs to be remapped, and remaps it the next time it's written.[22]

    You should run either checkdisk or if your laptop manufacturer has a utility that's great too. I know the VAIO F has a utiltity that runs outside of windows. Took 4hrs for my 500GB HDD, but it successfully reallocated a sector that was causing significant problems for me.

    Are you looking for a magical solution that will be quick fix? I'm sure that most people here are going to suggest running checkdsk so that the sector can be found and reallocated. Reading what I pasted for you shows that the realloation is pending anyway and should happen the next time something is to be written to that sector, which could be a long time depending on how full your HDD is.

    Get ready to replace the drive.
    Check it's condition regularly: if it shows more bad sectors throw it away.

    Did you actually do anything or did it fix itself as the definition of that SMART attribute said it would?

    Keep in mind that the problem may be in remission, rather than cured. A few bad sectors in a drive is nothing to worry about, in itself, as it will remap them. You happened to scan in the midst of that.

    However, once you're aware a disk has problems, you should be conscientious of that in future use. More may occur, and it can snowball.

    ...Or it may never happen again. Just back up your valued data regularly, if you don't already do so.

    So did you read anything and care to respond? Anseio made some very good suggestions, and you never responded to him. Did you do anything or did it do as he said? Response is a good thing when you post a problem on a forum expecting answers. Others may have similar issues. Let us know how it was fixed. Ansieo I agree with what you first suggested, just sorry there was no answer to you replies. Thanks for trying at least.

    i did what anseio said..i also i run HDD Regenerator in dos mode and the problem was fixed!!thx all for the responds!! :) i rep anseio too! :)
