    Hi,
I have a portable wd 160gb harddrive and it has been disconnecting on its own. I have it under 3 year warrenty and went into harvey norman where i brought it and they told me to reformat it and if it still did it then they know it is something wrong. I reckon it is cable. I have reformated and still doing it. Any good program to test if it is the drive or is cable so i can hopefully get a new one then casue it is annoying having it drop out suddenly.
