I'm curious...I need a good way to sync files, and I already have this program. MS claims it will sync all my files/folders I choose between two of my computers...but does anyone have any experiences with it?

I've never even heard of that before, but a quick search brought up this.
In the lower center part of the page, there's a Getting Started link. I'd start with that. -
Thanks, but I was looking for an un-bias opinion
. You know, one not from Microsoft
.
I'm gonna fileshare a folder of drivers in a bit and see how it does...I wonder if this would let me sync up all my documents...I've got quite a few though, so maybe a private LAN would be the only way...IDK. -
Well, I can't give an unbiased opinion since I've never even heard of it before you mentioned it, so I have no experience with it.
Good luck on your search. -
Basically its for Group projects...so your entire team's work is in sync.
Its little complicated at first but has tons of features...i am still trying to figure it out.
Biggest problem is that these days i am at home..so didnt have any reason to use it.
IF u like we both can try sharing some files to test it..

Send me a pm greg if you ever find a great program to sync files between 2 computers that is online based. I have groove too so let me know if it works good.

One great free sync program is Windows Live Mesh ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_Core). You have 5GB online, you install one small app on your computer and you can sync the files online and between computers. This seems to be a great solution for me because I have one desktop and one laptop.
Microsoft Groove is a really powerful utility but it only works well when it is correctly set and when everyone uses it, like in big organisations.
Has anyone used Microsoft Groove before?
