I had it on here for a while when Win 10 was released but it ran like a dog. None of the top keys like brightness etc work. Has that all been fixed.?

You need to download the drivers from Apple to get all that to work with Boot Camp. That's done through Boot Camp Assistant in Mac OS.

So I shouldnt have a problem, its actually 2011 I just found out, 2620m i7, 4GB Ram, 5400RPM (Pro? why didnt they use 7200rpm drives lol).
Do all the keys work at the top now?
Im a bit worried it might grind to a halt on this system. Last time we intsalled it a year ago, thats exactly what it did eventually, it became painfully slow.

Apple did not release Windows 10 drivers for the 2011 MacBook Pro. You could try the ones for Windows 8.1 using the same download procedure I linked to above, but there's no guarantee that they'll work. If they don't, you're SOL as far as W10 goes.

Thanks for that. It did work last time just not the top keys.

Well I think 2012 MBP is the oldest MBP officially supporting Win 10 by Boot Camp.
That said, I once helped my friend load Win 10 on his early 2011 MBP, installed Boot Camp Assistant and all drivers have been installed. Top keys seemed to work as far as I can remember, though I had to press a certain key at the same time, kinda like "Fn" key in most Windows laptops.
Has windows updated drivers for 2012 MBP?
