    Having issues with host processes...no internet icon but I have internet connection

    I keep getting random pop ups that say some host processes are ending and I can't do anything about it. My local area connection icon is showing no connection but in actuality, I do have an internet connection...but the problem is when the connection drops, I have no way of knowing it and it's a huge hassle to fix. How can I fix this?

    This is all happening in Vista 64-bit on my T500.

    Edit: Actually, just found out I never installed Kaspersky on this laptop :eek:

    Try first going back to network connections and un-check/re-check the system notification option.
