This is driving me up the wall and I dont know how to fix it or where to see help.

Ill use the latest example but it occurs all the time.

I go to download.com and try to download Deskscapes 101 from there, the link is:

    http://www.download.com/3000-20-10657476.html?part=undefined&subj=dl&tag=button

I can choose to run it or save it then open it but all I get is that Internet xplorer has blocked the file because the digital signature is invalid. Yet its digital sig is valid!!!!

I get this with lots of diff legit downloads.

    Can anyone help me????!!!!

for this specific deskscapes, i take it that u have vista ultimate with all the needed updates so far from vista, especially the extra pack allowing running dreamscapes.

u might want to visit ur IE setup/security to allow or ignore (trust the publisher) and see if it can ignore the message.

    cheers ...

Try using Firefox to download it and see what happens.

I have tried to adjust the security setting within IE7 with no luck. It does the ame with zipped files and says they are corrupt.

I will try firefox and thank both of you for the assistance...It just bothers me that I the only one that seems to be experiencing this.

Hey is this Vista 32 or 64bit?

I think I downloaded deskscapes too, but I got it off the official site, not your link site. Try going to their official site. Maybe that would help some. Given their ties to Vista Ultimate, it should be a snap to get it.

And the other poster is right, make sure you have the other updates first on Vista Ultimate.

I just picked up one of their premiums ones with the hill against the sky, very cool :) Changes through the day.

Im using Firefox right now...quicker I must say.

    But my problem remains..

That link that I have above comes from their site which send you to download.com. It downloads it complete then when i open it, it stops at 7% and says their is an IO error.

Similarly, when i try to download a file from a satelite forum and unzip it, it says it cannot and is corrupt.

Yes i have all the updates of Vista Ultimate and a ton of MPEG/WMA dreamscenes that work great already. I just wanted to try this program.

I would do anything just to know the route to go for assistance here...oh and i was in firefox by the way.

Yea routers and firewall software can cause unexpected issues like that.

Cool though because n ow you get to download a great application for your desktop. Check though their many versions...lot of great ones out there. The premium one is worth it in my opinion but you might not want to pay for them. It might even pop up as a download by MS sooner or later...haha. Enjoy!!!
