So I was being stupid and my laptop has some startup-takes forever issues and never starts up sporatiacally problems.. so i hold the power button down to shut down and restart...

I got to the point where it asked me to do checkdisk, and I did and it found a bunch of problems.....(note it was still starting up fine with the problems)...

Apparantly after checkdisk finished.. it deleted or modified or did something to a registry value that loads at startup, and it's giving me BSOD REGISTRY_ERROR everytime.

Before I go reformat my windows partition, was wondering if there was any other way to save it...
    - I don't have restore points (not a single one),
    - I have backed up everything already (Dual-Boot Ubuntu Intrepid)
    - I have tried the repair option in my CD.
    - I have tried running safe mode (but it freezes)
    - I have tried running Last Known Good Config (but it BSOD me out of that too)

    Any suggestions? :-[..
if i deleted all my registry values thru linux.. would they just make new ones or would it be worse off? :D

EDIT: This is windows vista ultimate x64 full install w/ both 64 bit and 32 bit disks. NOT OEM.

    thanksss.

You cannot delete the registry - you'll definitely be worse off. Given the severity of your issues, I would suggest that you back up your essential files through Linux, onto some external hard drive, and then reformat. Seeing that you have the disks, a clean install of Windows would help general performance as well.
