I have a problem that really gets on my nerves.

Everytime I use IE7, it seems to lag on certain sites (maybe it's the flash screens running on the page).

For example, on this site, whenever I move the page up and down, it does it extremely slowly (lag) and seems to use more CPU power than necessary.

The odd thing is that I do not get the same problem when I use Firefox 2.0

Dont know what it could be; everything else seems to run fine and my CPU and GPU seem to be running cool [CPU @ 45C, Core 2 Duo] [GPU @ 44C, Geforce 7900 GS]

Anyone have a solution to my problem?

    Thanks!

I've had this on a couple systems. Couldn't figure out the issue and ended up reformatting.

    Microsoft bugs...
My suggestion? Stick with FF until M$ releases 3 or 4 patches for IE7. ;)

    I think it's the anti-phishing stuff...

all I know is that IE7 is noticeably slower than IE6 or FF2 on the various windows machines that my family uses.

Same here....I actually just swtiched all my systems to either FireFox or Opera and put IE7 in the unused programs folder on my desktop...I doubt I will be retuning to IE anytime soon.

    Firefox rules...

The only reason I HAD to switch to IE7 was when I got my new Laptop which displays at 1900x1200.

Everything is so tiny to read in Firefox now.

IE7 seems to not only have bigger fonts, but bigger everything; something I wasnt able to figure out in FF was how to make everything bigger, not just the fonts.

And yes, my computer DPI is at its highest... so that isnt the solution to the Firefox problem.

IE7 is just so frustrating to use with my current IE7 problem

Despite a few cool features, I notice some strange things with IE7 myself. It lags, absolutely. And I just did a clean install, so that's not it. And suddenly my pages' looks just changed. Even in my email program, the fonts are all bizarre. Maybe this is not a big deal (except the lagging), but WHY? It just shouldn't be. The reason is obvious: it's yet another MS product released before it was ready. Now it's the usual months of patches and fixes. They will never get it.

I've used IE7 since it was beta and have had no problems. But then again I use Firefox 95% of the time.

Forgot to mention another IE7 snafu: the scrolling button on my Thinkpad goes completely wonky in it. I'm checking out FF.
