My Windows Live email client has apparently been hijacked because it's sending out commercial messages from my email address. I've tried 3 anti virus scans:

Malwarebytes Free Virus Scanner http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php, and

TrendMicro Antivirus, Anti-Spam and Internet Security Software - Trend Micro USA, and

Microsoft's Windows Malicious Software Remover Tool ( Download details: Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool) -- but none helped.

I also changed my password and secret question/answer, but that apparently did not help either.

I don't want to change emails if I don't absolutely have to, so please give me some suggestions. I desperately need help.

And by the way, even if I do get a new email, won't the old, virused email client still continue to send out these commercial emails in my name? Is there a way to permanently shut down/terminate/disable my old Windows Live Email?

Contact the Windows Live email support team. Report it to them. It is on their end. Your account, hosted on Microsoft owned servers, has probably been hijacked.

I believe the problem lies with the account, not the server. Chances are that your email credentials have been revealed through some phishing practice or other online malware. For a start I would recommend cleaning out your contact list and changing your password.

    Scan with superantispyware.

Also try some live CD virus scanners -- eg Kaspersky's live CD.

Try Changing your password, security question, etc, on another computer that 100% sure doesn't have a virus or bug on it.
