Yesterday I deleted my XP login password, also changed user name. Now I can't log on any more. I had thought if I deleted the password then I would not need password to log on, but now I just can't log on without a password. I also tried typing "administrator" in the user name, still doesn't work. Please help... Thanks.

Try typing in 'Administrator' in the user name, without a password. Then go to the User Account's control panel and select "Remove password" for your regular account, or change it to a new one if you want.

Microsoft has an in-depth explanation here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305

Saying that, this thread is gonna be closed real soon. NBR does not like to talk about Security bypassing/recovery, official or not.

    cheers ...

Yep. We do not allow discussion of bypassing security measures for any reason. Please refer the Microsoft article for assistance.
