    Hello all...

So I turned my M1530 on today and everything is working fine. I log into my Windows user account, and everything is loading up. At this point, the color of the screen is perfectly fine (it has normal colors). However, after most things have loaded, my ENTIRE screen is grayed out. What I mean is that I have no color anymore. Firefox, Desktop Background, Icons, Programs, etc. - they are all in grayscale.

I am concerned about why this is happening. I don't think it's my video card because there was full color when I first logged in. Because it takes some time to turn into grayscale. Maybe it is a driver issue, or a virus? I am running SUPERAntiSpyware now.

Does anyone know what I can do? This is random and I hope it's not a virus or something. Maybe Nvidia driver bug...? Why would it randomly happen today?

    I have:
    XPS M1530
    Vista
    Nvidia 8600M GT

EDIT: I just went to the Nvidia Control Panel - Adjust Desktop Settings. The "Digital Vibrance" And "Hue" are at 0%. I moved the slider for Digital Vibrance up and I have color again.
My question still stands. Why did this change overnight randomly. I never did anything manually.

Maybe it was a bug in the nVidia software, or someone played a prank on you :p

Sounds like a bug with the drivers you are using. A virus wouldn't alert you to it's presence like that, it's not smart.

Try system restore first, if this issue just started. If that doesn't work, try a different driver.

Could also be an accessibility setting. I know in XP there are a bunch of monochrome settings in the accessibility applet in the control panel.

This happened to me as well on my G2S on the 185 series drivers. Took my a while to figure it out, it seemed to occur when resuming from hibernation. Happened a second time so I changed up to the latest drivers and haven't had any issues since. I would think it is a driver issue, dealing with how the settings are saved/restored, but thats just a stab.
