    Help Hooking Up Laptop To TV!

    I need help. I have googled this and the vast magority of sites concerning this dont use VGA or whatever. I need to to use VGA. Can some one give me quick step by step instructions on how to connect my laptop to my TV (HDTV- 42") via VGA (I have cables).

    If you have VGA on your TV, just plug it in and set laptop to display on external.

    Yes, I think you just hit Fn+F8, or something along those lines. You should see a picture of a monitor on one of the F keys. So long as it's connected properly, it should display just fine. I do this all the time with my school's projector, and the HDTV that I own (though I use HDMI).
