    I am missing the Bluetooth Devices icon in my control panel, and I am just about certain that the issue is missing/wrong settings in the key

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{28803F59-3A75-4058-995F-4EE5503B023C}

    Can somebody who is running 64-bit Windows 7, and has the Bluetooth icon in their control panel, give me the contents of this key and its subkeys? Thanks!

    Mind enlightening the rest of us? You finding the issue and not telling us won't help the next person who finds this thread and is looking for a solution ;)

    Ah, yes, see here for more details, and the solution. It looks like at least some Dell laptops, and possibly others that use Broadcom Bluetooth modules, have broken installers for the Bluetooth software, which fails to install the Control Panel item for Bluetooth. A solution is provided in the thread I linked to.
