Hello everyone, I just got my first Vista equipped laptop and I'm trying to set up file sharing between Vista and my XP desktop machine. I can happily copy things over from my laptop to my desktop, but not from my desktop to my laptop. The only way I can do it is to enable public folder sharing but that exposes that folder to anyone on any network I'm on, not something I want to do. I just want to give XP access to share files with my Vista machine on MY network and not have my machine exposed on any other network.

Have you read any of the XP-Vista file sharing and print sharing threads/websites? I don't want to waste your time if you've already done the research.
