    Help a noob out! (reinstaling windows)

    1. A complete reformat and reinstall could take up up to an hour or maybe more depending.

    2. You can use the screen with no display drivers but you'll need to get the drivers before being able to get good resolution.

    3. You can keep all your files by doing a reinstall only. A reformat & reinstall is a bit more complicated and will result in a wipe of all your files.

    Why exactly do you want to reinstall Windows? Maybe a reformat would be more worth the effort if you want your system to run fast like the first day you had it.

    i want to reinstall it to get rid of bloatware, so i guess i have to reformat/reinstall. I heard of a guy who reformated and reinstalled and got a 5100 in 3dmark06, i get a 4690, so that is a fairly big difference.
