    Help cant install anything!

    Hello all,

    I recently got a HP dv4t with vista home pre. It has worked fine for 2 weeks now i cant install anything. When ever i click "install now" icon for programs it hangs at the "preparing to install"

    Java update is doing it
    Directx 9c is doing it
    Windows update is doing it
    Games are doing it

    Help please! :( :( :(


    ps also the task manager will not open i get the icon but the window will not pop up.And the "connect to a network" will open when i click it but it is just a blank white screen. My network icon says i am not connected to a network, but i am as i am here typing this :rolleyes:

    System restore back to when everything was fine? Or if there is no such point, reformat since its only 2 weeks old.
