Ok, my i'm installing Win XP Pro for my sis on her computer, it current has Vista Basic. I am installing Win XP Pro via USB, i have made a bootable USB for Win XP pro w/SP3 included..now, it prompts to enter set up and to select on which partition to install XP on..i choose "C" drive and it formats it to NTFS, it then proceeds to install XP on the partition, however after it does that, it restarts and prompts the same thing again, so the installation is stuck on a loop??
this is the part i get too before it repeats the installation over and over again..

I have USB set to 1st on boot preference because XP is installing from that..
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated..

An odd error.
Check to make sure the setup files copied correctly to the USB key. -
I have done, twice now..i used the Nlite tool to slipstream SP3 on to my XP iso file and it worked perfectly..It just keeps looping the first part of the installation over and over again...Driving me nuts...Tried booting from HDD after it does this part but nothing happens, the computer just restarts itself on a loop..
Its really bugging me because i know its only a small problem that stopping it for working..
Edit: i used a program called WinToFlash to burn my Iso w/SP3 onto a USB key. -
You can just xcopy the files over. Try that.
Help me install Win XP Pro!
