My Docx got corrupted and I have no idea how. When I open the file it says it cannot be opened since it is corrupt. I tried a few of those repair programs to try and get the text but nothing worked. This sucks because I worked hard on the doc and I need it.

I am on Windows 7 x64 and I have other docx files that I have used in MS word 2010 that work fine also I got an older version of the file I emailed to myself that works but this new one with more work in it is corrupted.

Any ideas of how to fix this? Thank you.

    Edit:

Here is the file maybe someone can get it open somehow.

Your download doesn't work. In any case, docx files are really zip archives that contain a number of files inside of them. You can try and rename your file to .zip, and see if you can open that zip file. If this doesn't work, then the archive itself is corrupt, and I see no simple way to access the file. If it does, you should be able to find the text content of your file in the archive. However, my suspicion is that the former is the case, since word refuses to open the document at all.

    Thoroughly corrupt, it seems.

On your computer, right click the file, choose PROPERTIES, choose the PREVIOUS VERSIONS tab. Restore and earlier version
