In addition to Calvin's thread, I just felt obliged to encourage everyone to participate in the international Firefox 3 Download Day to help set a new world record for the most downloaded program in one day. Should be fun. I'm downloading my copy tonight

JUST REMEMBER: YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM. UPDATING RC3 WON'T COUNT. If you do plan on updating RC3 regardless, at least download the program anyways just to show your support, if nothing else.
I don't know how they plan to track all of the downloads though, seeing as how people will probably be downloading from mirror servers as well, but we shall see. And, no, I am not affiliated with the Mozilla Foundation in any way.... other than the fact that I'm addicted to their browser!!!

And in case anyone is wondering, there is no official world record for the most downloaded program in one day.... which more or less means that Firefox 3 should take the cake w/o breaking a sweat
-
Hmm, i hope mozilla invested in a few new servers...
-
I'll force myself to download it by deleting RC3 and using IE7 until the download is up.
-
hmmm are they seeing how many different addresses download it or just downloads total?

It'll be Wed 2:00 AM when FF3 is released for me. Should I stay up to download FF3 by the time it comes out or have my beauty sleep.

I've used both opera 9.5 and the rc versions of FF3 (waiting for this "jamfest" to be over so that I can actually get a copy of the official firefox) and, although Opera has very much improved from the last time I used it (Yahoo Mail actually loads up properly now), it still has a long way to go till it catches up to the status of FF. I'll probably be using both browsers though in the days to come, I love them both
Help out the best browser in the world!
