    Hi there. I managed to remove a lot of useless programs from my G73, but some programs remain which I am not completely sure about, even after doing some research. Basically I need you guys to tell me which of these programs should be uninstalled or updated:

    Fresco Logic USB3.0 Host Controller
    Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
    Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition [ENU]
    Microsoft Sync Framework Runtime Native v1.0 (x86)
    Microsoft Sync Framework Services Native v1.0 (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
    MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser (KB973685)
    OpenAL
    Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
    Realtek PCIE Card Reader
    Synaptics Pointing Device Driver
    THX TruStudio

    There are more but I can try and figure them out myself. Thank you.

    Nothing I see here that needs to be touched. How did you determine which program is useless?

    cheers ...

    Other than THX TruStudio, all of those you need. They are not junk...

    I would recommend leaving those - they could be unnecessary, but often third party programmes depend on those to run correctly.
    As an example the Blackberry device manager requires the 2008 C++ runtime to install... oddly enough not to run.

    i.e. leave alone.
